well, I haven't written any poetry lately, but here's an old one.

Under the garden of the sky
radiant light held my eye
and I was lost in an endless sigh
beneath the brilliant stars

In the water, clear and blue
I found a portal that took me to
a place were I was happy simply to
be beneath the stars

And to the stars I ran away
I rode Pegasus through the milkyway
the north star helped us find our way
through the brilliant stars

Just when I didn't have far to go
Orion shot me with his bow
and I was pierced by the fiery arrow
I fell from the stars
